Taipei, Taiwan, July 22, 2016 – QNAP® Systems, Inc. today announced that development and support for Digital Signage Players will be discontinued in order to consolidate future developments for NAS products. Software updates and technical support for Signage Players and their related software will be completely halted. The affected products and software includes: iS-1500, iS-1510, iS-1600, iS-1600 WL, iS-1620, iS-1620 WL, iS-1650, iS1650 WL, iS-1900, iS-2800, iS-2820, iS-2840, iS-3600, iS-3640 and iSignager Software.

"We are proud of our Digital Signage Player products and developments, but due to changing market conditions we have regretfully made the decision to discontinue these products,” said Aseem Manmualiya, Product Manager of QNAP, adding “QNAP aims to focus all of its resources on the continued development of NAS products to fully transition them from simple storage devices to all-in-one multi-purpose devices with market-leading performance and features. To meet this goal, our Digital Signage Players will be discontinued so we can realign all of our available resources. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause for users of our Digital Signage Players."
