Taipei, Taiwan, November 4, 2014 – QNAP® Security today announced that VioStor NVR products now support the new WD Purple™ 5 TB (WD50PURX) & 6 TB (WD60PURX) surveillance hard drives, allowing them to take advantage of the vast storage capacities offered by drives optimized for 24/7 surveillance environments.

The new WD Purple 5/6 TB surveillance hard drives are designed for tower NVR systems with up to 8 drive bays. Made specifically for surveillance applications, WD Purple drives now support larger capacities to meet the growing storage needs for high-resolution videos.
